“A picture is a poem without words”
I like to make artwork that is affordable and accessible to everyone. Having an original work of art in your own home is
special and this is what drives me to create great quality art that is affordable. My prices are designed to give value
to both the artist and the buyer.

You can send your photographs by email (preferred option) or by post. Photographs sent by post will be
returned to you with your finished portrait. The resolution (quality) of your photographs should be the
best you are able to produce. My general rule of thumb is, " if the eyes can be seen clearly in your photograph,
then the quality should be good enough to work from".
If you are taking a photograph of your pet, try and take the photo outside in normal light and try to avoid strong sunshine as this creates harsh shadows and bleached colours. You will probably find that you may need to take quite a lot of photographs until you get the pose that you want. If your pet has a favourite toy, put it on the top of your head or shoulder while you are taking the photograph so that your pet is looking up at you. It may sound slightly odd, but this has worked for me many times.
Along with your photograph, let me know your requirements, whether you want a head and neck portrait or a full body portrait, or multiple pets in your portrait.
When I have received your photographs and requirements I will work out a quotation and give you an estimate of long your portrait will take to create. When we have agreed all of the details of your portrait I will send you an invoice for a deposit ( 50% of the total cost ) and wait for your payment before I start work. Payment can be made via PayPal with a credit or debit card, or you can pay by cheque. This deposit is returnable until I start on your portrait. I will contact you prior to starting the portrait to confirm everything with you.
When I have finished creating your portrait, I will email you a photograph for your approval. If you are happy to proceed I will arrange for the framers to mount and wrap your portrait. I will also send out your final invoice which will include postage and packaging. When I have received payment, your portrait will be processed at the framers and then dispatched to the address you have supplied. I will send an email when I have dispatched your portrait. If you have any questions, please contact me via 1642.portraits@gmail.
